Opening deal
When the game starts, each player is given two cards with face down which are known as hole cards or pocket cards.
The first round of betting
The player sitting to t hefty of the big blind starts betting. The other players sitting to the left of the first better can raise or fold the bet when their turn comes. The player who has made the big blind can raise the pot.
Flop
After the completion of the first round, three community cards are given to each player whose face is up. These three cards are called the flop. There are two more community cards, which are dealt one by one in each round and collectively these community cards are called board.
The second round of betting
This betting starts from the player sitting to the left of the dealer. This player can check or bet and the players following him can bet, call, or raise the bet.
The Turn
This round dealer deals with the fourth community card with face up. This card is called the turn card or the fourth street.
The third round of betting
Betting starts from the player sitting to the left of the dealer and everything is the same as that of the second round. In the case of limit games, the size of the pot doubles in comparison to the second round.
The River
In this round fifth and final card is dealt and this card is known as Fifth Street or river card.
The final round of betting
The betting format is the same as the third round.
Showdown
After all the betting rounds are completed, the time of showdown comes. Here the last bettor or raiser shows his cards first followed by remaining players. A player having the highest hand wins the pot. If there is a tie between two or more players, the pot is distributed among the players.
